Ruth Tickle
Ruth grew up on the Isle of Man and regularly took part in local music making including the Manx Youth Orchestra the Manx Music Festival. She was also very proud to win the Young Singer of Mann at the age of 12.
Ruth began her formal music training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama from where she graduated with a BA Hons degree in Music majoring in Vocal Studies.
During a time living in the UK Ruth had the pleasure of singing with the world famous Halle Choir and Orchestra, and has also participated in many solo recitals and concerts. These include performances for HRH the King and Queen of Norway and Princess Ann.
Ruth has won the Manx Music Festival’s Cleveland Medal on 2 occasions, most recently in 2017. Ruth has over 20 years experience in teaching Singing and Violin both here on the Island, and also extensively across Cheshire and the Wirral. This has involved working with all ages from pre-school and school aged children right up to adults.
Ruth has been part of the Mini Musicians team for a number of years now and loves it!
